S-100 Fire Suppression


The course was developed by the BC Forest Service Protection Branch to meet regulatory requirements including WorkSafe BC, which states that all workers fighting forest fires must be trained and then retrained annually.

Upon completion of the course, the participants will demonstrate a basic knowledge of the wild land fire suppression organizational structure, the wild land fire environment, suppression and safety procedures and equipment used in BC to effectively and safely response as a basic wild land fire fighter.
