A forklift is a commonly used piece of equipment on a worksite. So it's important that all workers know how to use it safely. Improper use can cause serious injuries and death to themselves or a coworker.

 

This course is designed provide operators with an in-depth instruction on regulations and safe operation as well as extensive hands-on operation exercises. Only those able to demonstrate an acceptable level of operational competence will receive certification for successful course completion.

 

Theory topics include:

· Regulations

· Equipment types including main parts

· Equipment safety

· Fuels and battery types

 

Practical topics include how to do a pre-use inspection, safe operation procedures, parking and shutdown procedures while under the supervision of the instructor.

 

NOTE: Steel toe boots are required for the practical component of this course.
