Building Service Worker Level 2

Building Service Worker (BSW) Level 2 requires BSW Level 1 certification. This course familiarizes the student with the latest in techniques, equipment, chemistry and products. Subjects covered are chemistry of flooring care products and the importance of using a system for sanitation. Correct maintenance procedures for virtually all types of commercial building resilient and hard surface flooring. Detailed instructions for cleaning, stripping, etching, sealing, finishing, routine day-to-day maintenance, rotational maintenance, restoration, including UHS finishing, characteristics and application of sealers, finishers, restorers, equipment, including power floor machines; how they work, how to choose the best for the job.  This course consists of 40% in-class instruction, and 60% hands-on practice.

Requirements: Completion of BSW Level 1 prior to take this class.

Educational Requirements: Basic English reading and writing skills.
